The Georgia Conservancy Conference:
Georgia's Common Ground

Georgia's landscape has changed in response to rampant growth. Expansive land use practices have increased our encroachment upon the natural world and decreased our quality of life. There are, however, signs of hope. There are vast areas in Georgia still worth protecting, and areas that have shown innovative regenerative abilities with a little help from a few dedicated people.

Georgia's Common Ground will look at efforts to protect our natural world on the local level as well as highlight national, state, and local governments' efforts to work with leaders throughout Georgia in defining a vision and taking direct action.

Featured Speakers:
Paul Hawken (keynote)
Amory Lovins
over 50 panelists from around the nation

Conference tracks include: AIR, WATER, LAND, QUALITY GROWTH, and SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS. Conference sessions within these tracks are designed to educate Georgians about cutting-edge environmental issues, cultivate new partnerships between non-traditional allies, and activate attendees to become involved with initiatives that will protect Georgia's natural resources and help ensure a high quality of life for future generations of Georgians.

Who Should Attend: This conference will benefit people from the fields of government, business, conservation, and community action . Anyone with an interest in learning more about issues that affect Georgia natural resources and how new and innovative partnerships can protect these resources should attend.

Cost (includes continental breakfast, lunch, snacks, all keynotes, and all concurrent sessions):
$75 before August 19 (members)
$105 new members (includes Conservancy membership)
$90 non-members
